How to Get More EFAs in Your Diet

EFAsParent Essential Oils (PEOs) are the only essential fats that our body can’t manufacture. These Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) are Parent omega 6 and Parent omega 3. These essential fats have two or more bonds. The Parent omega 6 or Linoleic Acid (LA) is the 18-carbon fat that contains two double bonds. The Parent omega 3 or Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA) is the essential fat that with three double bonds. Since these two EFAs can’t be manufactured by our body, they must be consumed. And the great sources of Parent omega 6 and Parent omega 3 are the foods that we eat.

To get more EFAs, we need to eat foods that contain enough PEOs to supply the required dose that our body needed every day. We should eat living plants and meat. Fresh and raw fruits and vegetables are one of the great sources of EFAs. And in order to get the “Parent” form, they should be eaten fresh and raw. Cooked or processed foods contain adulterated PEOs and they are dangerous to our body. Meat also is a great source of PEOs as long as it comes from animals that eat grass or cattle animals. To retain its nutrients, it should not be overcooked. Food processing is highly dangerous to our health. The food that have undergone food processing, especially from foods chain is the root cause of deadly illness such as cancer, cardiovascular disease (CVD) and diabetes. So to get the most of EFAs that our body required, we need to eat living plants as well as meat (from grass-eater animals).
