EFAsThere are two types of fats, the bad and the good. Essential fatty acids or the EFAs are the good fats and they are essential fats that our body needs to function properly. These essential fats are the Parent omega 6 and Parent omega 3. EFAs most important role in our body is it helps distribute oxygen to the different parts of the body to reach the cells.

In order to get the needed EFAs, we have to eat Parent omega 6 and Parent omega 3. Sufficient PEOs in their parent forms are needed because our body can’t manufacture them.  We can only get the sufficient EFAs through the food that we eat regularly.

We need to carefully select the food that we eat to prevent cardiovascular disease or CVD. Lack of oxygen can also cause CVD and EFAs helps supply oxygen to our entire body including the heart. Essential fats like fats from nuts are good for our body.

We also need to consume PEO-based foods like fresh fruits and vegetables. Processed foods like fried chicken or other foods from food chains and restaurants contain unadulterated PEOs which are harmful to our body. They can cause other diseases such as cancer. Meat are also good source of protein and PEOs, but only meat from cattle animals like cow and goat because they eat grass and grass are good source of PEOs. When cooking meat, they should not be overcooked to retain the nutrients needed by our body. They can only be cooked to kill the contaminating bacteria in the meat’s surface.
