KetonesKetones are required and necessary byproduct when we burn our own body fat. Ketones are mandatory when burning your own body fat for energy. However, generating through body fat-burning is not the same thing with ketosis, and it is heathy. There are several nutritional experts that warn people about the danger of going into a state of “ketosis”, which is actually harmful over-acidity or acidosis. This is a result of low-carbohydrate diet or eating too few carbohydrates and then burning fat too fast. The high-carbohydrate advocates are unable to make this distinction.

The importance of ketones as explained by Dr. Lubert Stryer, a Professor of Biochemistry a Stanford University and author of a highly rated biochemistry textbook used at medical schools, “Ketones are normal fuels of respiration and are quantitatively important sources of energy.” While, “Ketosis (harmful low-pH) is almost impossible in a normal person.”

We have been misled again by nutritionists, most of us don’t need to waste our money on “ketosis strips”. Adapting to a higher fat, higher protein diet will almost never produce ketosis. If you really want to lose weight, it’s best that you lower your carbohydrate diet.  A slower change is greater than most diet programs in shifting to a lower carbohydrate diet. And in just two-week time-frame, it will surely work perfectly.

Most nutritionists and several physicians don’t understand how great nature is. She let our body use its own body fat for energy in a superb metabolic system. You need to know that just like there are water and fat-soluble vitamins, your body uses two types of fat-burning mechanisms, which are fat-soluble fats and water-soluble ketones. You don’t have to fear ketones at all. In fact, ketones can help you in your quest in becoming energized and lean-for-life.
