PEOs great sourcesHumans by nature crave sweets, because we have a sweet tooth by Nature’s design. During the early days early men do not cook, he readily ate fruit.  Nature provides them with great food sources. They eat lots of fruits a day and fruits are good sources of energy. Fruits also contain the majority of early men’s PEOs requirements. Life was simple back in the early days and early men are living a healthy life with great PEOs sources around them. Most foods have gone food processing before you eat them and all nutrients are gone especially the PEOs that are required daily by our body.

Most people think that a “carb was a carb”. Medical textbooks were not clear enough about the significant difference between fruit and grains. People usually avoid carbs, but there is much more to fully understanding the role of carbohydrates in your diet.

A study published in 2009, it was shown that the whole fruit is superior to fruit “juice” and fiber for increasing satiety.  Fresh fruits, whether they are whole or juice are great sources of PEOs as long as they are not cooked.  One glass of orange juice [6 tsp sugar] provides the energy to run 1 mile. [But goes to body fat if not used immediately!] Nutrition for Fitness and Sport, pg. 59. This controlled experiment used their subjects consuming apple in several forms (whole, applesauce, juice, and juice with fiber) consumed 15 minutes prior to meal. Those subjects who consumed the whole fruit felt fuller and went on to consume less in a controlled meal. The study stated: “Consuming whole fruit reduces ratings of satiety more than fruit juice. Adding naturally occurring levels of fiber to juice did not enhance satiety.”
