PEOsYou have to consider the societies or the group of people with the greatest longevity on earth. Among the five of the longest-living societies on earth, only one diet has regular animal protein. According to studies, their animal protein is, mostly fish, but, perhaps only twice a week (Okinawa). The other four are: the Hunza in Pakistan, the Vicambamba high in the Andes in Ecuador, the Abhasia of the Caucasus Mountains, and in the United States are the fully vegetarian 7th Day Adventists.

These group populations have slender body, except the American Adventists because they get exercise by laboring in their fields. This group of people not only has a long life, but is the healthiest as well. They do not experience the ravages of degenerative diseases many years before they die like most people do. The vegetarian Adventists have similar lives to non-vegetarian Adventists. The difference is the lack of meat, fish (fish oil supplements) and poultry consumption. In addition, the vegetarians live on average seven years longer than their meat-eating cohorts and are seldom hospitalized or get sick. The tribal people are nowhere near fish as well as fish oil supplements, let alone commercial cattle.

Therefore it is easily concluded that fish and fish oil supplements is not necessary for a long and healthy life.  Whatever “the secret” of the four of the groups mentioned above, it has absolutely nothing to do with fish or fish oil supplements because they don’t eat any of them or they are nowhere near to any fish source. Their source of food is from the crops and vegetables they harvested from their fields as well as from the land animals that they raised which are the great sources of PEOs.
